Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Vittl AI ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, then you may not access the App.

Description of Service

Vittl AI is a mobile application that provides AI-powered cooking assistance, including but not limited to:

  • Pantry inventory management with AI-powered scanning
  • Recipe discovery and import from various sources
  • Step-by-step cooking guidance with AI assistance
  • Meal planning and recipe recommendations
  • Grocery list management

User Accounts

To use certain features of the App, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
  • Violate or infringe upon the rights of others
  • Transmit any harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App or servers
  • Use automated systems to access the App without permission
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices

User Content

You retain ownership of any content you create, upload, or share through the App ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the App's services.

You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the right to submit the User Content
  • Your User Content does not violate any third-party rights
  • Your User Content is not defamatory, obscene, or harmful

Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Vittl AI and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App without our prior written consent.

Subscriptions and Payments

Certain features of the App may require a paid subscription. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to:

  • Pay all fees associated with your subscription
  • Automatic renewal unless cancelled before the renewal date
  • Price changes with reasonable notice
  • No refunds except as required by law or at our discretion

Subscriptions are managed through third-party payment processors (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play Store). You agree to comply with their terms and conditions.

AI and Machine Learning

The App uses artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies. You understand that:

  • AI-generated content may not always be accurate or complete
  • You should verify important information independently
  • We are not liable for errors in AI-generated content
  • AI features may change or be updated over time

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Accuracy, completeness, or reliability of content
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement of third-party rights

We are not responsible for any food safety issues, allergic reactions, or health problems that may result from using recipes or cooking guidance provided by the App. Always exercise caution when cooking and consult with healthcare professionals regarding dietary restrictions or allergies.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Vittl AI, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the App, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of another.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature (see our Account Deletion page).

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the appropriate courts.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
