Account Deletion Request

We're sorry to see you go! If you'd like to delete your Vittl AI account, please follow the steps below.

How to Request Account Deletion

  1. Send an email to our support team at hello@vittlai.com
  2. Include the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
  3. Provide the following information:
    • Your account email address
    • Your display name (if applicable)
    • Confirmation that you want to permanently delete your account
    • Any additional information that may help us locate your account
  4. Wait for confirmation: Our team will process your request within 7-10 business days and send you a confirmation email once your account has been deleted.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:

  • Your account profile and settings
  • All recipes you've created, saved, or imported
  • Your pantry inventory and ingredient data
  • Cooking session history and progress
  • Grocery lists and shopping preferences
  • Favorites and saved recipes
  • User preferences and dietary restrictions
  • Any uploaded images or photos

Note: If you have an active subscription, please cancel it through your device's app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store) before requesting account deletion. Account deletion does not automatically cancel active subscriptions.

Data Retention

Some information may be retained for legal or business purposes even after account deletion:

  • Transaction records (for tax and legal compliance)
  • Anonymized usage data (for analytics and service improvement)
  • Information required by law or court order

This retained information will not be personally identifiable and will not be used for marketing purposes.

Alternative Options

Before deleting your account, you might want to consider:

  • Taking a break: You can simply stop using the app without deleting your account
  • Exporting your data: Contact us if you'd like to export your recipes or other data before deletion
  • Adjusting settings: You can modify privacy settings or disable certain features
